This year’s campaign theme is “Accelerate Action” and our guest speaker this year is the 2017 Telstra Tasmanian Entrepreneur Award Winner and finalist in the 2019 Telstra Small Business Awards – Alison Flakemore of Alison’s Garden & Landscape.
“In 1997 Alison set about launching her vision of a female owned garden & landscape business. From humble beginnings she started out with an old van a lawn mower, basic hand tools and working from home, delivering flyers in her local community. Alison faced many challenges and rejection being a female in the industry, by advancing her practices, finding solutions and forging forward through adverse times she edged into the commercial market.
Alison now employs a professional team of employees, highly qualified and inclusive of Alison’s business vision, a fleet of vehicles ranging from garden maintenance, Trucks, Excavators, Landscape, vacant land slashing, gutter cleaning and Commercial cleaning”.
